Remote Guarding & Virtual Patrols

A “Virtual Patrol” refers to the process of obtaining a connection to an existing CCTV surveillance system via a remote connection. Generally, this method is conducted by using a special CCTV management program that records what an operator observes when performing an online walk-through patrol of a sequence of camera views.

A name you can trust to protect your business.

From an operator point of view, the virtual patrol will come onto our system as an alarm event, which had been pre-programmed to a specific time to conduct the virtual patrol (the frequency of the patrols can be increased or re-scheduled for critical situations or during specific events).

If the operator notices any ‘unwanted’ or ‘suspicious’ activity, then the operator follows predetermined instructions in the form of a standard operating procedure, specific to the site. A mobile response vehicle or emergency response team will be dispatched if an incident occurs. It is an alternative to the use of extensive man hours to cover remote sites or facilities with multiple locations.

Using a virtual patrol service can provide an additional layer of security by providing assurance that you have a dedicated team of CCTV operators who use camera technology to catch any activity a physical patrol may have missed because they weren’t in the right place at the right time.

Our virtual patrol service includes and involves our team monitoring your site via your CCTV system hourly or daily, day or night, to improve the overall security and safety of the site. We will focus our attention specifically on any vulnerable areas of the site. It will then be possible for them to conduct virtual patrols, which will be based on the client’s requirements, for example lighting, gate and barrier checks.

We offer virtual patrol services for any size site, we can implement them according to the client’s needs, wants, and requirements. As well as considering their ways of working and being extremely flexible, our approach has the ability to adapt as needs arise.

How Remote Patrol Works

Our remote patrol operatives can log into a system at a pre-defined schedule or at random.

Our operatives are highly trained and will also be able to perform tasks and checks on specific items, which is usually the duty of the security officer conducting mobile patrol visits.
